Jan Houlberg

The technology wizard behind Visicover, Jan, was born in Denmark and has worked in the insurance industry since 1988, building innovative system solutions.

Having run his own successful technology business for many years, Jan decided to use his extensive knowledge to build the first, full function online insurance administration system. It is this technology that sits at the heart of Visicover, and which allows us to provide the unique service that we offer.

On the aeronautical side Jan is a qualified pilot, holding a PPL and IR rating, while his wife also has a PPL. They previously owned a Mooney but now only manage to keep their licences active. In his younger days he was a very active skydiver with 3 Danish championships to his name, and participated in a couple of world championships. On the nautical side he was a keen windsurfer and also shared ownership of a Supernova trimaran.

Bob Bevan

Bob is the insurance brain behind Visicover and has worked in the industry for over 35 years. He helped set up some of the first UK based ‘direct’ insurers, who revolutionised how motor, home and other personal insurances are bought. He also helped develop direct operations in Belgium, Germany and other EU states.

Before joining Jan to set up Visicover, Bob ran his own consultancy business for 12 years, working with financial services companies to help them understand the opportunities presented by online, mobile and other digital technologies.

Bob came to the joys of boating somewhat late in life, following a move to Dorset. His other pastimes include looking for the golf balls he has lost, and cycling in a desperate attempt to maintain a modicum of fitness.
